SB 2200 ALKA Strip removes multiple layers of latex paint, oil based paints and most graffiti from masonry in one application. This highly alkaline, biodegradable paste is blended with special wetting agents and surfactants that work slowly to strip each layer of paint to bring back masonry to its original appearance. SB 2200 can be used to remove paint and vine stains from brick, stone, concrete and metal (not aluminum) surfaces. After the paint has been removed, all surfaces must be neutralized with the appropriate ShoreBest acid product.
PREPARATION:
Scrape or pressure wash loose material from the surface. Provide protection for foliage, vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Protect all surfaces and surrounding areas from possible damage which might occur from spillage or contact during application and removal of the stripper. SB 2200 will burn anodized aluminum window frames. All projects should start with a test application to determine the suitability of the stripper, acceptable application method and dwell time. Test areas of at least 10 square feet in area are recommended and should involve the thickest coatings. When possible, the test area should be left to age for 10 or more days to check for possible adverse reactions. Some plural component paints cannot be removed by SB 2200.
PRODUCT DIRECTIONS:
Dilution: Usually not diluted -- test application recommended
Coverage: 50 to 100 square feet per gallon -- dependent upon surface and layers of paint to be removed
